Qingdao Haijing Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd, formerly Qingdao Chemical works established in 1947, is a State-financed first-ranking large firm, mainly producing chemicals for basic raw materials, under Qingdao Kailian (group) co., ltd. since september 1999.

It covers more than 400,000m2 with 819 million RMB Yuan of total assets and 1500 excellent employees, of those 225 technicians, who are capable of developing new products and technologies, with innovating the old plants. The capacities of its main products are: Caustic soda 120,000MT/Y, including Flakes 10,000MT/Y. PVC resin 160,000MT/Y, CPE (chlorinated polyethylene) 24,000MT/Y, Hydrochloric Acid 420,000MT/Y, Liquid Chlorine 60,000 MT/Y and Ferric Chloride 10000MT/Y .

The firm adheres to make its development based on "science and technologies" with the quality of products as its living line, to improve its performance by management methods for a modern enterprise. Therefore the firm won titles such as "one of 500 Enterprices with optimum economic benefit ", "No-leak cleanness and culture works", "a Culture Unit and a Excellent Chemical Enterprise in Shandong Province", and "Advanced Enterprise in 1995-2000 in Qingdao Municipality" etc. The firm passed the ISO 9002 certification for quality of its products in 1996, This indicated that the firm's quality management has reached a new level . The firm has innovated old facilities, including introduction of 60,000MT/Y Bipolar membrane-cell plant for chloralkali from DeNora in Italy in early 1997, replacement of 25,000 MT/Y grahite anode-cell plant, making its technological equipment into advanced level in 1990. The data of technology and specific consumption for the plant have been among first-level in domestic. The three grades of caustic soda in membrane-cell , i.e.: 32%, 48% and flake are added and increase their shares in market. Since 1998 the firm's equipment for PVC has been among advanced ones in domestic, through innovation of its PVC plant in first, second and third phases with more than 10 of advanced technologies, including self development and design of 45m3 suspension reactor for PVC. The capacity of 40,000MT/Y for PVC has been reached in first half of this year, to contribute good benefit to the firm.
